Monki in The Beltline

This place is a favorite, especially the decor. Never change!

We stopped by Monki Cafe a few days ago while wandering around Calgary and were pleasantly surprised by how cozy the whole spot felt. My husband got the avocado toast and I had a latte, both were done just right and came out fast even though it was a busy Saturday morning. The staff behind the counter were friendly and even gave us tips on other things to see nearby, which we appreciated as tourists. We ended up lingering over coffee for almost an hour just people watching through the big front window, and it was a lovely little break in our day.

I have been here a few times, and I have consistently enjoyed excellent food, service, and atmosphere.

I had the Waffocado, the portions were generous, served with syrup on the side. The waffle is slightly sweet. This is a quaint bistro seating style, there is only one separate table/ booth. Intimate setting. Bathrooms are clean, but constricted. Not wheelchair accessible. Appreciated the staff being accommodating to my needs. Thank you.

The food was amazing and service even better. The hollandaise sauce was fantastic!

Such a lovely brunch spot. The space is small but cozy, and the staff are really friendly. I ordered the brisket poutine and fruit waffle, and both were so good. I especially liked that the whipped cream on the waffle wasn’t too sweet. Definitely recommend

Fabulous food with a wife selection, and topped off with brilliant staff

This was our first visit to Monkie in beltline and it knocked it out if the park. I had the shakshuka which is a veggie stew kind of and my hubby had the beef brisket hash. Amazing !!! Half way thru our meal we noticed a reverse French toast on a neighboring table and since it looked so delicious we just needed to try it for desert . It was decadent . 100 stars out of 10. Wl

We always have a great time at Monki, it’s our favourite place to go for brunch. Food and coffee always hit the spot, service is always fantastic. It can be busy on a weekend so just be aware of that if your planning to go for brunch as it’s a small spot, but worth it!

A wonderful place to eat, with a vibrant atmosphere, attentive staff and mouth watering food. A bit expensive, but the quality of food stands as a good reason as to why.

The brisket is to die for. Amazing little breakfast spot in Calgary, if you like supporting local, this is the best spot! PS. They make a great Caesar.

Last stop on the way out of Calgary and was it ever everything that it has been promised to be! Definitely add yourself to the waitlist, but if you don’t take the time to wait. You won’t be disappointed

Took the kids here on a Sunday morning and it was exactly what we needed before heading to the park. The staff were so patient with my two little ones when they couldn't decide what they wanted, which I really appreciated. We ordered the avocado toast and it was genuinely one of the better ones I've had in the city. Definitely becoming our go-to Sunday spot when we want something easy and low-key as a family.
