From The Beltline to Inglewood
For almost 6 years since opening our original Beltline joint, ‘Small space, long waits’ was the most frequent complaint we continued to receive. We could only address this by expanding into a new location – at a neighbourhood that fits the ‘Monki mantra’ – innovation, collaboration & community. Where else would that be besides Inglewood! Our Inglewood breakfast club was opened in April 2019.
About Inglewood
Located just east of downtown Calgary, Inglewood nurtures a culturally rich community of local artists, musicians, boutiques, eateries, breweries attracting locals & tourists alike. The neighbourhood boasts iconic live music destinations like the Blues Can and Ironwood Stage and hosts a variety of festivals aimed at promoting local artists & businesses such as Jazz YYC, Sunfest, Fringe Festival & Mid Winter Film Festival. Furthermore, Inglewood is a popular family attraction with its proximity to Calgary Zoo, St. Patrick’s Island Park, East Village & the Fort Calgary Histroic Park.
Parking
In Inglewood, Parking is predominantly free & relatively easy to find. You will be able to park for free (2 hours) along our block on 9th avenue SE or in the nearby streets – 11th, 12th, 13th or 14th. Being of course incredibly cyclist friendly, the neighbourhood is fitted with bike racks throughout the Main Street (9th Ave) and adjacent streets.
Planning Your Brunch Visit
With a capacity of almost double our Beltline location, our Inglewood breakfast club offers a comfortable, spacey & family friendly dining experience in Calgary. We aren’t accepting reservations due to our limited seating. If you plan to walk-in during the weekend, you may experience a wait-time. You can instead skip the wait & ‘Get in Line’ virtually on your phone. We will then simply notify you when to make your way!.

Nestled in inglewood this little gem sits ...Atmosphere very cozy andbinviting , perfect for a breakfast meal .I had to have The Full Monki !!! It was a veru delicious plate complimented nicely with a exquisite cappuccino.There was a large group of us 10 people and it accommodated us all perfectly 👌.

Yummy food and great service! Shout out to our server Hannah who was on her 3rd day and crushing it! It was clearly a busy day, and she managed all of her (many) tables and all the questions and special requests very well while still being friendly, funny, efficient, and professional. Yay Hannah!!

In the vastly transforming hip area of Inglewood just east of downtown Calgary is Monki Breakfast Club and Bistro. They have a wide selection of incredible brunch selections to choose from. Everyone around us had generous plates of food. The food was super delicious.Our server was great and helpful but seemed distracted or busy. We tried our best to cheer her up.The atmosphere was vibing. It was very busy. I hear this spot has won a lot of awards!5 x 🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞

The service here is absolutely amazing. I loved my experience here and I loved how well connected the team seemed to be. I belive my server was a fellow called James and he made myself and other guests feel very welcome. The entire atmosphere is very welcoming. I’d recommend eating outside if you can when the weather is nice 🙂

What a lovely find while we were out exploring Calgary! We stopped in for lunch on a whim and so glad we did. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It's definitely more of a spot for locals and if we lived here I'm sure we would become regulars.

are you kidding me??? this is the most immaculate place i’ve ever been. wonderful vibes and i’ve tried over 10 avocado toasts. THIS by far is the best i’ve ever had. Our server James took such good care of our group while we were celebrating a bachelorette party on Saturday! The food was amazing and James was attentive, personable and made sure we always had anything we needed. It was a great start to the celebration!

Monki is the go to brunch in Calgary! I had a skillet with tender pulled beef, and poached eggs with smoky hollandaise. The sauce was delicious! The portion was generous and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is cozy and vibrant, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Highly recommend if you’re craving a brunch that goes beyond the basics. And don’t forget the Mimosas!

My wife and I went here for breakfast on our anniversary trip to Calgary! We had JB as a server and he was great! He was kind and funny, and made our first experience at Monki great! 10/10 would recommend for the service, the food, and the atmosphere!

Great spot for breakfast in a nice location. The food was tasty, though the salad portion felt a bit small for the price (you can see it in the photo).Coffee was really good! Just a heads up — they serve it with a single shot of espresso by default. Our server offered a second shot, which we accepted, but didn’t mention it would cost an extra $2.75. Most places usually charge around $1 for that.Overall, we enjoyed the visit and would come back again!

I love coming to Monki, it's always a wonderful time. The service is amazing, they are giving honest suggestions about the food and they give you a good feeling while your visit. And about the food: Every dish I had in the past was incredible. Additionally I like that their menu is changing every couple months. In that way you get to try new dishes, when ever you feel like it. I will be back soon. 🙂
