From The Beltline to Inglewood

For almost 6 years since opening our original Beltline joint, ‘Small space, long waits’ was the most frequent complaint we continued to receive. We could only address this by expanding into a new location – at a neighbourhood that fits the ‘Monki mantra’ – innovation, collaboration & community. Where else would that be besides Inglewood! Our Inglewood breakfast club was opened in April 2019.

About Inglewood

Located just east of downtown Calgary, Inglewood nurtures a culturally rich community of local artists, musicians, boutiques, eateries, breweries attracting locals & tourists alike. The neighbourhood boasts iconic live music destinations like the Blues Can and Ironwood Stage and hosts a variety of festivals aimed at promoting local artists & businesses such as Jazz YYC, Sunfest, Fringe Festival & Mid Winter Film Festival. Furthermore, Inglewood is a popular family attraction with its proximity to Calgary Zoo, St. Patrick’s Island Park, East Village & the Fort Calgary Histroic Park.

Parking

In Inglewood, Parking is predominantly free & relatively easy to find. You will be able to park for free (2 hours) along our block on 9th avenue SE or in the nearby streets – 11th, 12th, 13th or 14th. Being of course incredibly cyclist friendly, the neighbourhood is fitted with bike racks throughout the Main Street (9th Ave) and adjacent streets.

Planning Your Brunch Visit

With a capacity of almost double our Beltline location, our Inglewood breakfast club offers a comfortable, spacey & family friendly dining experience in Calgary. We aren’t accepting reservations due to our limited seating. If you plan to walk-in during the weekend, you may experience a wait-time. You can instead skip the wait & ‘Get in Line’ virtually on your phone. We will then simply notify you when to make your way!.

Great little spot for some great breakfast. Service was excellent as well. 🙂 would recommend any of the eggs Benedict. 👍🏼 The regular drip coffee was not strong at all and just average, so if you are a coffee snob- maybe order one of their other selections. Enjoy 😉

Great restaurant. Four of us went for breakfast and we were all very happy with our food. The breakfast scrambler was amazing, brisket was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Pancake tacos were great too! Worth the effort to grab a meal here if visiting Calgary!

My boyfriend and I had went to this place around afternoon for breakfast/ lunch. for the starter, we got the Crispy Wagyu Gyoza which was basically dumplings with spicy pepper oil sauce on the side. it was great and the placement of the dumplings were very satisfying!for the main dish, my bf got the chorizo poutine, and it was so delicious ( maybe i thought that way because i was hungry), and my bf also really liked it. for myself, i got the Not-So-Classic Huevos Rancheros, and when the server came out with the food, i was shocked because it looked so much better than it did in the pictures online!! 😄after 30 minutes of eating and talking, the server would come between few minutes with water to make sure that our cup was full, and before we ordered everything, we loved the fact that he asked if we had allergic to anything, and how we wanted our eggs done, we found that very helpful, as my bf has allergic to avocados 🥑😅.the food presentation was overall well done and amazing, but as we were finishing up the food, it became too much oily at the end, but other than that, everything was perfect! ( well not really because after we paid, the server gave us fortune cookie, but i didn’t have any paper in mine, but my bf did, so it made me upset😡).overall 8.5/10( the price was a little too much for us students, the total was $60+)😭

I stopped in here for the first time on the way home from my night shift, as I had heard there food was amazing. It did not disappoint I had the brisket hash and a side of pancakes with fruit it was the perfect serving size. The server was awesome and it was a great place for breakfast or dinner in May case...lol next time I will have to try the French toast or the breakfast poutine 🤔. Either way I will definitely be back.

The server made sure we knew that the leaf logo didn’t mean vegetarian but that it could be made vegetarian. I really appreciated that she knew it could be mistaken and that she wanted us to be sure.

I have been here a few times and every time it is incredibly delicious! When I bring staff, client or my kids it impresses. When we travel to Calgary its a must stop at least one or maybe 2 times if were lucky! The service is always great and the food is even better 10|10

Fantastic brunch spot! The food was delicious and had great service. Had the beef brisket eggs benny and it was on point, and the hash browns were perfectly crunchy!
