From The Beltline to Inglewood
For almost 6 years since opening our original Beltline joint, ‘Small space, long waits’ was the most frequent complaint we continued to receive. We could only address this by expanding into a new location – at a neighbourhood that fits the ‘Monki mantra’ – innovation, collaboration & community. Where else would that be besides Inglewood! Our Inglewood breakfast club was opened in April 2019.
About Inglewood
Located just east of downtown Calgary, Inglewood nurtures a culturally rich community of local artists, musicians, boutiques, eateries, breweries attracting locals & tourists alike. The neighbourhood boasts iconic live music destinations like the Blues Can and Ironwood Stage and hosts a variety of festivals aimed at promoting local artists & businesses such as Jazz YYC, Sunfest, Fringe Festival & Mid Winter Film Festival. Furthermore, Inglewood is a popular family attraction with its proximity to Calgary Zoo, St. Patrick’s Island Park, East Village & the Fort Calgary Histroic Park.
Parking
In Inglewood, Parking is predominantly free & relatively easy to find. You will be able to park for free (2 hours) along our block on 9th avenue SE or in the nearby streets – 11th, 12th, 13th or 14th. Being of course incredibly cyclist friendly, the neighbourhood is fitted with bike racks throughout the Main Street (9th Ave) and adjacent streets.
Planning Your Brunch Visit
With a capacity of almost double our Beltline location, our Inglewood breakfast club offers a comfortable, spacey & family friendly dining experience in Calgary. We aren’t accepting reservations due to our limited seating. If you plan to walk-in during the weekend, you may experience a wait-time. You can instead skip the wait & ‘Get in Line’ virtually on your phone. We will then simply notify you when to make your way!.

Natania is an amazing server- friendly and helpful. We asked for a recommendation and it was fantastic.. the Beef Brisket Benedict! Mimosa flight was a tad sweet for me but still delicious! Overall, great ambiance and fresh delicious food! P.S the homemade jam was a bonus!

I really like the nature-inspired aesthetic at Monki. Typically they don't allow outside beverages but we came across this bistro when we passed by with coffee, and staff were super accommodating (and we did also end up getting two more coffees and teas here). Service was great (shout out to Rose who was really friendly) and the food was amazing.Potatoes/hash were light and crisp, without feeling heavy or greasy. The eggs benedict were softly poached as requested. The braised Albertan beef briskey was very delicious.I really enjoyed the food and would definitely recommend Monki!

Sat outside on a beautiful day. The skillet was absolutely amazing. The crispy jalapeño gives it a really good crunchy bite of spice. Our waitress Genevieve was so friendly highly recommend come here for brunch.

Great service provided by Genevieve. My only criticism pertains to the fruit bowl. It was too sweet. Otherwise the food was very good.

I've been wanting to check out Monki for some time. A slightly rainy day was a great opportunity to beat the rush. The food and service was great. Would have been worth waiting for if I hadn't gotten in so quick.

Honestly great overall apart from a very loud table on the other side of the diner. It happens i guess but was annoying nevertheless.Our server, Genevieve, was amazing and treated us with atmost respect and kindness. They even sang a little happy birthday song for my wife 💓

Absolutely Awesome!!!!!We reserved a table online, quite easily.The atmosphere when you arrive is like you are going to your friends place for brunch, and you are treated thar way from the beginning until you head out the door.The drinks, cocktails and mocktails! There was something funky and fun for everyone. The Food!! OMG, the FOOD! So DELICIOUS!!!!!! The Korean Beef Bowel, and the caramel bacon pancakes! And loved every bite! We got the Brisket scramble with crispy bacon and the Lox Benny's.This place is worth a stop! You won't regret it!

Had such a great experience at Monki Breakfast Club & Bistro in Inglewood yesterday. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavour.What really stood out, though, was the service. Tariq was our server and he was exceptional ... attentive, kind, welcoming, and genuinely made the whole experience even better. You can tell when someone truly cares about creating a positive experience for their guests, and that was very much the case here.Highly recommend if you’re looking for a delicious brunch experience, a great atmosphere, and outstanding service. Will definitely be back.

Amazing brunch at Monki! We shared the Brisket Benny and Bruschetta Benny and both were incredible, highly recommend!!! Amy was a wonderful server, and manager Grab was very engaging and made sure everything was perfect. Great food and even better service!

Tried pancakes 🥞, coffee ☕, and a sandwich 🥪 at Monki and honestly, everything was so good! The pancakes were soft and delicious, the coffee was just perfect, and the sandwich was fresh and flavorful.Such a great vibes definitely coming back again 💛✨

Walked in unexpectedly while waiting for an appointment and was pleasantly surprised. I'm allergic to eggs, so naturally breakfast places aren't my first stop. I rolled the dice and am glad I did. Hannah, the server, was terrific, as were the rest of the staff. Friendly and accommodating. I've worked in restaurants and know what a pain it can be to prepare for allergies, but for a breakfast place to accomodate an egg allergy is something. Takes time for the line to shut down and clean everything, especially when that something is most of their menu. Kudos to the kitchen staff for their patience and diligence. Bonus points as well for having a bottle of my favourite hot sauce, Valentina, on every table. Although I don't live nearby, I'd stop in again and will recommend it to others if they're heading to Inglewood.

We stopped in for brunch today. What a great spot! Cozy atmosphere, great service and excellent food. I ordered the Dubai Chocolate French toast and it was amazing! Very big portion though, I couldn't finish.

Went in for a last minute breakfast, not crazy busy for a Saturday at noon. Not loud, very clean, and we were greeted by great staff! Genevieve was super kind with a bubbly personality. She took great care of us and offered insightful recommendations given it was our first time. Food was fast and very tasty! Overall a great place for breakfast and lunch.

Genevieve is incredible!!! She welcomed us at the door and as soon as we sat she not only told us specials but also her personal recommendations. Food was amazing. I had the bruschetta eggs benny and a monki pick me up coffee. Beautiful atmosphere, incredible service, delicious menu!

Very accommodating with the menu. Wanted waffles with the banana cream cheese and strawberry compote. Was not on the menu, but they made it happen.
